Shahrzad Kiavash is a Swedish paralympic athlete within the field of triathlon. Seven years ago, Ms. Kiavash fell sick with sepsis and she almost lost her life. She had to have both legs amputated, but the thought of working out kept her motivation going and she now gives professional lectures – and competes at a professional level in triathlon. She is a frequent speaker and she has given two TEDx talks called “What if no mountain is too big to climb?” and “I am my own superhero”. Her lectures are motivational talks for companies, organisations, young adults and health professionals. She has a burning desire of improving the individual health care and secure a system where the patient can be involved and aware in all parts of their care process.
In the Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, Shahrzad secured 7th place.Keynote II: I had two choices - and I chose to live
