Digi-Do – a digital information tool to support patients with breast cancer before and during radiation treatment

This seminar is part of the live program and will be recorded during March 2-4. We will publish the recorded seminar here one day after it has been broadcasted.

Women with breast cancer express a desire for continuous information to enable them to be involved in treatment decisions and to prepare themselves for the radiation treatment. The person’s ability to maintain health, applying apprehended information requires the person to understand the context, believe in their own ability and work in partnership with others. Applying a person-centred approach generic information should be tailored to the individual persons experiences and social context as well as adapted to their needs and level of health literacy. Effective education techniques are needed to inform about radiation treatment, and to encourage sense of preparedness for the radiation treatment procedure.

Is it possible for a digital information tool to support patients with breast cancer and enhance sense of preparedness before, and during radiation treatment?
