Hilary Baker is Programme Director Transformation at the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE). NICE’s role is to provide independent assessment of evidence, producing recommendations that balance the best care with value for money across the NHS.
Over the past 20 years Hilary has led change initiatives across the UK public sector; 11 of these years have been within the NHS, generating improvements in both quality and efficiency. In her current role, Hilary, is leading a programme to transform NICE to meet the needs of a changing world – with an acceleration in innovation, growing demand for health and care services and significant opportunities to work with data in new ways. In what has been described as “one of the most engaging change initiatives in health and care globally”, Hilary and her team are working with thousands of stakeholders to co-create new ways of working and collaborating, towards the achievement of the ambitious future goals for NICE.Crowdsourcing
